The biennial JAINA Convention is hosted in partnership by the Federation of Jain Associations in North America (JAINA) and a local Jain Center nearby the Host City. The convention brings together over 4000 attendees, presenters, spiritual leaders, and other dignitaries from not only the United States but from around the world.

Some notable speakers the JAINA convention has hosted include the late US congressman and civil rights icon John Lewis, motivational speaker and a monk with ISKCON Gaur Gopal Das, Indian yogi Sadhguru Jaggi Vasudev, spiritual leader Pujya Gurudev Shri Rakesh Jhaveri, and spiritual leader Gurudev Shri Chitrabhanu.

The first JAINA Convention was held in Los Angeles, CA in 1981 and hosted by the Jain Center of Southern California to unify the 15 Jain Centers across the country. It was at this convention that the plan for JAINA was conceptualized under the guidance of Gurudev Chitrabhanu. JAINA was formally ratified at the second biennial convention hosted by the Jain Center of America in New York, NY in 1983.

A place for many Jain families to meet, enhance their knowledge, and have fun, the JAINA Convention now attracts attendees from over 75 Jain Centers across the country and around the world. The convention welcomes people from all faiths and backgrounds, regardless of sect, caste, or social standing.

Taking the worldwide pandemic and advice of many JAINA leaders into consideration, the JAINA Executive Committee made the historic decision to cancel the 2021 Convention slated to take place in Orlando, Florida in July 2021 and instead host a fully virtual convention. Furthermore, JAINA went one step further and opened the convention to the global community.

The 21st Biennial JAINA Convention will be held from July 1st-6th, 2021 on its virtual platform.
